CAMELS-CZ

Catchment Attributes and Meteorology for Large-Sample Studies - Czechia

CAMELS-CZ (Catchment Attributes and Meteorology for Large-sample Studies – Czechia) is a reference dataset for large-sample hydrological analysis and modelling across 453 catchments in Czechia. It provides catchment attributes together with hydrological and meteorological time series in a structure comparable to other CAMELS datasets. The database includes basins with at least 15 years of daily runoff records and captures a wide range of catchment sizes, elevations, and runoff regimes. Available observations include runoff, precipitation, air temperature, potential evapotranspiration, and snow water equivalent. These data are complemented by simulations of water-balance components from a semi-distributed HBV model calibrated against observed runoff and snow water equivalent, enabling more detailed assessment of catchment hydrological processes.
